I just got the series 3 Apple Watch. All of my apps work fine except Facebook messenger. It acts like it is loading and has little dots flashing in a circle. I was really looking forward to having this app because it’s one of the apps I use all day. Any help???

1. Restart the Apple Watch

Step 1. Press and hold the side button until the Power Off slider appears on the screen.

To force restart the Apple Watch, press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown at the same time for nearly 10 minutes untilt the Apple logo appears on the screen.

2. Turn on Background App Refresh

Try to turn on Background App Refresh if the Apple Watch reboot doesn't offer a help. You can open up Settings on iPhone, then go to General > Background App Refresh to enable it and select the option of Wi-Fi & Cellular Data, it will allow apps to fresh their content when on Wi-Fi & Cellular in the background.

3. Delect and Reinstall FB messenger App on iPhone

This way proves to be effective for some users. Keep pressing FB Messenger on the home screen until the 'X' appears. Just tap the “x.” and the app will be deleted. Then try to reinstll the app on iPhone and Apple Watch. Click on Messenger and make sure that it is toggle on on Apple Watch.

4. Check for the updata of watchOS and iOS

Usually, updating the iOS and WatchOS helps to fix various tough nuts. Do remember to make a full backup before updating WatchOS and iOS.

Updata WatchOS: On the iPhone that is paired with the Watch App, click on My Watch tab and go to General > Software Update to check for update of Apple Watch.

5. Fix iOS System (No Data Loss)

What users always neglect that the issues on iPhone could also leading to the malfunction of apps on Apple Watch. Thus you are also required to fix the iOS System on iPhone. 6. Delete music and add them back

Another simple tip which is reported to be effective is removing all songs and adding them back on iPhone. However, it is available in rare situations.

Step 1. To delete all songs, go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Music > Edit > Delete All Songs.

Step 2. Now restart the iPhone and Apple Watch to check whether the FB Messenger runs smoothly.

Notes: Don’t forget to back up the music file before deleting them. So that you can re-add these music after verifying that you have fixed the issue.
